Boost communications to villages and rural area
Status Update
Staff continue to use a variety of methods to increase community participation, including Public Information Centres, surveys, targeted outreach, and social media campaigns. In 2025, Staff and the Lord Mayor hosted six Open Houses, one in each village and the rural area, tailored to community needs and providing opportunities for dialogue. Building on this progress, a formal Community Engagement Plan is being developed in 2026 to guide future initiatives, ensure consistent outreach, and establish a framework for tracking engagement and measuring success.
